Heartburn Medication Pregnancy

Q.I am in my 18th week of pregnancy and seeking ideas for back pain and heartburn. I have had acid reflux for years, and most heartburn medications do not work. Diet is my only control over heartburn (milk makes it worse). As for the back pain, I cannot afford a heating pad. I need to find something that will help with the back and neck pain!!! Can anyone in the group help me please?

A.Make a sack out of some form of cloth - cotton works well - an fill it with rice. Pop it in a microwave and you've got yourself a make-shift heating pad. you can reuse this as many times as you want and it doubles as a cooling pack if you stick it in the freezer. I'm not sure how to help with heartburn. Possibly some form of basic (alkali) drink with your food - definately no sodas or juicies (these are acidic and will make your hearburn even worse). when i was pregnant, my mother would have me eat 4 non salted crackers usually wheat,and for the back pain she had me use as per cream& would heat up big fluffy blanket towles in the dryer. if you have a fire place or pelit stove you can keep the towels in a plastic bag or box this will keep them warm
