Heartburn Symptoms

Q.I am only 29 so thought it unlikely... I had post natal depression 5 years ago and still get stressed every now and again even now with an anxious feeling or apprehansion and dizzy. I have been experiencing chest pains which i think is heart burn. The pain is in the middle but to the left of my chest in between my breasts and also at the top of my back. Aong with this i have occasionally felt like my arms are heavy and i feel exhausted. I need to sleep during the day and then have no problem sleeping at night also. Today after having chest pains yesterday I have woken feeling like i have flu like symptoms ie ache all over (i dont have a cold).. I have been getting neck pains recently too... Do you think that I am stressed or have depression again, have heart burn or could I be suffering heart problems? Can anyone in the group help me please?

A.Sounds very similar to something I had been suffering with for the past year or so and I felt the same about being too young for heart complaint and being laughed out of the GP surgery. Eventually after several blood tests to check for cholesterol etc I was sent for an ultrasound scan and found that I had a gallbladder full of stones and after keyhole surgery to remove the gallbladder I have had no further problems. Most people who suffer with stones say it is worst after eating a fatty meal but I had the attacks at totally random times too. This condition is so so common nowadays and not something to be scared of. Discuss with your GP and get checked. Try not to think it is something tragic, which is easy to do, see your doctor for a full blood count, and try to relax, anxiety comes in all forms, eat well and be conscious of general issues that may cause upset. I suffer these symptoms from time to time and have just come back from my GP... stay proactive and do not be afraid to see another doctor if one is not listening peace of mind is very omportant.
