Heartburn When Pregnant

Q.I no it is probably like one of them old wives tales but i am suffering really badly from heartburn i am 19weeks pregnant, an i have been told that it means my bubsy will have loads of hair when he/she is born?? i have been asking friends etc if they had it an the friends that did have heartburn there bubys had loads a hair and the ones who didn't were like bald?? Can anyone in the group help me please?

A.I've heard that too, and since I'm almost 22 weeks with heartburn every single day, I was starting to wonder. But, it is just another old wives tale. Yes, your baby could have lots of hair, or your baby could be bald. It isn't a reliable way to determine if the baby will have lots of hair or not. It's just one of those fun pregnancy symptoms. Try not laying down for a while after eating. Try and sit up or stand up for a few hours after you eat. Also, avoid spicy and greasy foods, which I'm sure you know. Other than that, TUMS are my best friends. I had heartburn extremely bad also. With all my pregnancies. So much so..I would sleep with tums on the sides of my mouth. I feel for ya! I had 6 boys with so much hair (dark black) when they were born they looked like little monkeys. The one girl I had came out bald. So I can't say it would be a tale or not. Maybe it's a boy thing
