Heartburn When Your Pregnant

Q.8 months pregnant, had horrible heartburn last night so bad that i started to cry husband told me to stop? he just laid that and told me that he has had bad heartburn and it's nothing to cry about...yes but has he ever been preg? i don't think so...i was just looking for some confort...a rub on the back..something...i didn't get anything like that...i know he loves me..but still...what is a good way to bring up how i feel about that? he does it a lot...he even tells our 2 year old to stop crying if she gets hurt...do you think i am right to feel this way?? Can anyone in the group help me please?

A.Seriously, what did you want him to do? You had heartburn, you didn't get hit by a car. You weren't told that you were going to die in 6 months. I had HORRIBLE heartburn when I was pregnant. Go see a doctor and have him prescribe a PPI for you. Now, address the problem with your husband. Tell him something like "you know since I'm pregnant again, I feel crappy a lot and I don't need you to fix it, but I would like you to at least give me some comfort. If I agree to only complain when things are really bad, can you agree to give me some love to feel better?" As for your daughter. How does she respond to the way he talks to her? Is she OK with it (then leave it alone) does she run to you instead (now you are making sides for her to choose) or does she look scared and confused (now you need to discuss this behavior with your husband) men hate when girls cry, why I don't know, but they do. They don't know what to say or how to handle it. I was crying in the middle of the night one night when I was pregnant because when I got up to pee I saw that my dog had chewed my flip flops. I went back to bed bawling. My boyfriend thought it was funny, but I didn't! Just rub it off, men don't get it and never will! .
