Herbal Remedies For Acid Reflux

Q.All of my problems started with a an H. Pylori infection. After that I developed gastroparesis (slow gastric emptying) and acid reflux problems. I also have IBS, though my upper GI problems are my biggest frustration. My IBS symptoms are alternating constipation and diarrhea (though not severe in either case), constant rumbling, gas pains and occasional intestinal cramping. My upper GI symptoms are belching, nausea, heartburn (a lot), occasional vomiting and chest pains. My infection was in '93. It took a while for some of my symptoms to develop and a much longer time for them to subside. I was told by one doctor that it can take 5-6 years to completely recover from an H-pylori infection. Since I still have problems, I'm inclined to believe he may be right. so can anyone in the group help me find out the herbal remedies for acid reflux that I am having please?

A.I've been very frustrated over the past 4 months, suffering from a wide range of stomach and intestinal problems, so I thought I would see if my symptoms match IBS, which I understand is more of a catch-all category for a range of symptoms and disorders. I had severe gastritis (or something like it) two months ago where my stomach would become very full and bloated often while eating a meal -- to the point where I couldn't finish eating. The sensation was very uncomfortable. Also, I often felt feverish and cold and had symptoms of panic attacks in public places when I was feeling particularly bad. I tested positive for H. Pylori and after taking a regiment of Biaxin and Prilosec, these symptoms went away thankfully, although some of the side effects initially were strange, like a constant feeling of hunger (even after meals) and at night in bed. Through all this, I have also had a lot of intestinal problems, often where my intestines will make an unusual amount of noise (gurgling), particularly on the right side of my abdomen (large intestine?), but not with an unusual amount of gas. My stools have generally been light in color and loose, often with undigested bits of food in them -- usually white specks. I've also had a few bouts of diarrhea, but they subside within 8-12 hours. Occasionally I'll have a solid stool that is normal in color, but only about 20% of the time. I've been off the Biaxin for over a month now and in the last week I've suddenly been suffering from severe cases of heartburn and indigestion 2 out of 3 times that I eat. I'm going to start taking Prilosec again just to get some relief, but this sensation is like the sensation after being punched in the gut. I've never had heartburn like this before. Oddly enough, I don't have any acid reflux or have a sense of high acidity in my stomach. I suppose I should also mention that I've been taking a variety of presumably safe herbal remedies such as a natural intestinal cleanser, an anti-parasite complex, DGL, Cat's Claw and some herbal teas, which don't seem to cause any harm. I've tried to eat a lightly cooked garlic clove every day, but it seems to make things worse. I passed a couple pinworms, after starting on the anti-parasite pills, so I'm not ruling out a parasitic infection either. I'm also not ruling out a Candida gut infection, which might be exacerbating a leaky-gut and poor digestion.
