Herbal Remedies For Heartburn

Q.I've had cronic nausea for about 2 years now. I've had test after test, I even had surgery for acid reflux in Sept. of last year. The doc. can't seem to find any thing wrong since the surgery and I thought I would try some herbal remedies. I don't know where to start. can anyone in the group help me please?

A.Have you tried ginger? Available in candy form (oriental market), or sliced very thin: fresh is best, I've seen dried too. Can decoct for a tea. I have had success with these remedies: Ginger (fresh, simmer it for a half hour) Peppermint tea (not to be taken in large quantities) Fennel (chew some seeds -- nice tasting too) Chamomile tea Catnip tea (watch where you discard teabag or kitty will be all over it) Blackberry tea Did your doctor check you for thyroid problems? I had the same thing and when I was initially tested my thyroid was fine. When I was retested again 1 year later they found out my thyroid was slow. I now take Synthroid and the nausea is now gone.
