Q.How can you cure heartburn?

A.Suffered for years from that so I've tried them all: Tums Maalox Zantac Prevacid Prilosec and yeah the baking soda and hot water thing too. So if those don't help, then you need to speaks with a doctor. Because my problem actually was a result of gallstones. The best at home cure is about 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in a glass of water. Drink this down as fast as you can, it will make you burp & relieve some of the ouch. When you eat, wait at least 30 minutes before reclining so the acids don't have a chance to go the wrong way. Drink a glass of chilled milk which is a quick remedy for heartburn. Add 10 drops lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon organic sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (at last) into 1 cup of water and drink immediately to neutralize heartburn.
