Natural Remedies For Acid Reflux

Q.A while ago there was a useful thread on heartburn remedies... and now that I am more pregnant I really wish I had written them down! There were some liquid remedies recommended, can anyone tell me what they are? I really appreciate it - I just *hate* chewing on chalk (that'd be Tums) so I think the liquid stuff would be great. AND, I still have 3 months to go! Can anyone in the group help me find out the natural remedies for acid reflux please?

A.Milk has always helped me, but other people swear the opposite and say it makes them worse, so who knows. Also avoiding some things was pretty vital: fried foods, tomatoes, onions and anything after 6pm. I never had heartburn all that bad, I don't think (in that being careful with my diet and chewing a couple of Tums usually sorted it) but I've heard good things about Gaviscon - it may be a UK medicine, though, don't know if its called the same thing in the US. Aren't your Tums fruit flavoured? I may be pathetically easy to please, but I've always rather *liked* Tums - mine come in assorted fruit flavours like banana, strawberry and blackcurrant.
