Natural Remedy For Heartburn

Q.I'm in my 31st week, baby is riding high under the ribs, and I have heartburn for the first time in my life. It's worse at night; the first night I took some baking soda, but I can't do that all the time! My friend says almonds help. Other ideas? so can anyone in the group help me please?

A.You should try my advice here Try chewing gum. Although this won't work when you are in bed, it works wonders during the day. I found it worked instantly and really well (and I had heartburn starting really early this preg.) When you find it isn't working anymore, put in a fresh stick of gum. It works and it can't hurt! When I was pregnant and had horrible heartburn, I would chew peppermint gum after each meal. This really helped. Also when it was awful at night I would try the liquid heartburn remedies. They coated the stomach and the relief was much quicker. Miraculously, the heartburn disappears immediately after giving birth.
