Quick Heartburn Relief

Q.What is the best remedy for heartburns? I suffer from frequent heartburns, and the only medication that I use which gives me temporary relief is Aluminnum MG pills. Do you know of a better remedy? please advise. can anyone also point out the quick heartburn relief for me please?

A.here is some advice dont eat fast ,take your time and chew your food well, and eat many smaller meals rather than few large ones. This will keep your stomach from expanding and driving those digestive juices up. Drink plenty of water and avoid foods which cause heart burn, like alcohol, coffee, and for me it's donuts I can eat a donut and have heart burn in 2 seconds. Stop using the antacids and try using a acid reducer like zantec 75 or tagamet HB. Antacids will actually train your belly to produce more acid. If you are suffering and must have instant relief mix some baking soda in water and drink it. Persistant heartburn can also be an indicator of other problem such as heart disease, or an infection of your stomach see a doctor. I work with a gal who suffered from regular heartburn and it erroded a hole in her esophagus which had to be corrected by a debilitating surgery, she missed over 6 weeks of work.
