Relieve Heartburn

Q.I am pregnant and looking for other ways besides antiacids to relieve heartburn and indigestion.? I have tried Tums and Maalox but nothing will help. Please, if you have any other alternatives to help I want to get rid of this as soon as possible because it is causing me so many problems

A.i had to avoid anything with tomatoes in it, including sauces and salsa, i also tried to drink plenty of water which caused another problem in that i had to pee even more frequently, there are some prescriptions that you can take, mention it to your doctor at your next visit, i feel your pain though, i think i went through like 7 or 8 bottles of tums! Try drinking some chicken broth. It soothes my stomach when I have cramps and when I am sick. It also works great for dogs. Sleep sitting proped up. also cut spicey food from your diet. And gassy foods (onions , garlic, red peppers) should be cut down, ginger helps maybe ginger tea, or ginger snaps YOu should also avoid acidy foods toatoes and citrus fruit are the worse
