Remedies For Acid Reflux Disease

Q.Natural ways for getting rid of heartburn. I tried drinking milk and that didn't help.? I live way outside of town and everything is closed, I feel like crap, does anyone have any natural remedies that I could try? so can anyone here help me please/ I am really tired of having so many problems.

A.My friend does the baking soda and water thing and swears by it. The recipe is on the box. When you go into town, pick up a large bottle of Tums Extra fruit flavors. There's nothing like having instant relief when your esophagus is in flames. Milk will actually make it worse. Baking soda, which is sodium bicarbonate does the trick. The main ingredient in antacids is sodium bicarbonate.A few teaspoons in a small gass of water will certainly do the trick unless you have acid reflux, and need prescription medication such as protonix. The baking soda and water idea is a good one. Two tablespoons to a glass and drink. In High Shcool we did a test. This actually worked better than any over the counter remedy at the time.. Don't think they have changed so much - just taste better now.
