Q.I am having some problems with severe acid reflux Can severe acid reflux cause breathing difficulties after eating? acid reflux, GERD, breathing difficulty, breathing difficulties after eating, eating, acid reflux and breathing, asthma-like symptoms only after eating, severe acid reflux can anyone in the group help me please?

A.YES, there is a condition that doctors like to call psuedoasthma and it is from acid reflux. I have had problems for years with reflux and this last time that i was pregnant i had to use an inhaler. My baby has it too, he has had numerous hospitalizations from reflux that caused asthma like problems. see a doctor they need to do a scope of your stomach and put u on some stronger meds like prevacid... i get same probs and i am on ranatadine pills for my stomach, i have ventolin for asthma but i still get this breathing prob after eating. I have to wear some very loose clothing, no waist band clothes, or i take a brisk walk 15-20 minutes , this seems to help, good luck with that , its not the most comfy feeling.
