Severe Heartburn In Pregnancy

Q.I was wondering if anyone suffered heartburn during their pregnancy and if so when did it start. I am 8 weeks and the past three nights I woke up with severe heartburn. I'm not sure if it's the pregnancy or if it's something else, i will be checking with GP on Monday so can anyone in the group help me find out if this is severe heartburn in pregnancy please?

A.I have 14 year old twins and I am pregnant again and due Feb 2. the only time I ever have heartburn is when I am pregnant. My new baby is pretty high up and is making it hard to breathe and the heartburn is still there. Tums and rolaids help. you should be limiting caffiene anyway, but I found that coffee, iced tea and even orange juice makes it worse......you must be one of the lucky ones like me! Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there.
