A.Heartburn is actually caused by acid reflux from your stomach burning your oesphagus. But stress makes it much worse. A bad case of stress can irritate your stomach causing more acid production and more reflux/heartburn symptoms. But it is not CAUSED specifically by stress. It is usually food, such as tomato sauce, Mexican, spicy food, alchohol etc. Being overweight also contributes to it. Stress causes everything..all sicknesses on earth..my sympathies to all those who craete ther eown stress. Yes ..we are the creators..seldom others.
