Vinegar Acid Reflux

Q.I have acid reflux disease (a bad form of heartburn) and I am not getting relief from traditional prescription medicine. I no longer have medical insurance and this medicine is very expensive so I am hoping there is something that can help me. Can anyone help me about the vinegar and acid reflux please?

A.There are several things that have helped me. 1. Take one tablespoon full of Ginger root juice every morning, first thing. The juice must be obtained by running the Ginger root through a good juicer. A blender or mashing the root won't work. See this for more info: http://bcn.net/~stoll/hiatus.html 2. During the day, sip on Aloe Vera Gel (not juice) and Pepto Bismal that have been kept in the refrig. 3. Eat much smaller meals spaced over the day. Don't eat anything after 6:00 pm. After each small meal stand up and walk for a few minutes. 4. Cut out all spices, caffeine, decaffeinated coffee (has oils that will hurt stomach, instead drink Postum), nicotine, alcohol and oily foods. 5. Raise the head of your bed *frame* 12 or more inches. Do *not* prop up your upper body with pillows. This causes more problems. 6. Get rid of all negative thoughts: hate, jealousy, hurt, fear, etc. etc. 7. Read these books: "7 Weeks To A Settled Stomach" by Dr. Ronald Hoffman and "Mind, Body & Soul In Balance" by Juliet Mills. 8. Do positive visualization to heal your entire digestive system. 9. Meditate everyday.
