What Are Symptoms Of Acid Reflux

Q.Have u ever had heartburn so bad that u considered going to the hospital? could this be symptoms of preeclamsia i'm 26 weeks pregnant by the way. i read that preeclamsia signs can be severe upper abdominal pain. i plan on calling the doc tomorrow since this has happened 3 times in the last couple of weeks ? Can anyone help me if this is the symptoms of acid reflux?

A.Heartburn is not a sign of preeclampsia. The main signs are elevated blood pressure and pitting edema in your extremities (swelling that leaves indentations if you press it with your fingers). If you are having abdominal pain and these other signs see your doctor immediately! Good luck. (BTW I did have heartburn so badly when I was pregnant that I considered going to the ER! Take some tums) When i was about 20 weeks pregnant I woke up with heart burn so bad that i didnt want to move, I went to the hospital and they gave a GI cocktial. It had a numbing medicine in it and when i drunk it , it helped immedialty. It also had a pain medicine in it that put me to sleep. I am not sure about the preeclamsia.
