What Are Symptoms Of Heartburn

Q.It feels like a tiny bead is caught or lodged on the right side base of my throat/neck. My symptoms are:? Bad breath Dry mouth_no saliva + tingling sensation Slight pain on right side of throat leading to right ear Pressure & slight headache Phlegm build up I cant swallow down. tiny red blood vessels on right hand wall before the tonsil that are within a paisley shaped pattern. Burping Slight dry cough SYMPTOMS I DONT HAVE: No white spots on throat No vomiting Tonsils look ok Left side of throat feels ok No heartburn or stomach pain Normal stool & urine Clear nose Drinking water,hot teas,rinsing with listerine & sleeping hasn't helped. It's the third day having this. Non drinker/smoker & I eat healthy. I have no medical insurance. Is this GERD or STRICTURE or? Please help if you know what this is and how to treat it. What specialist should I go see? I plan to get a blood test done because a year ago I was told by my doctor that I should exercise more due to having moderately high blood sugar. I took his advice & got myself back into shape. Could my blood sugar be doing this? Can anyone tell me if these are the symptoms of heartburn?

A.Well, when I worked for 4 Ear Nose and Throat doctors, it sounds to me like you may have a blocked salivary duct. I say that because you say there is no saliva. Sometimes they can take care of it at the office. It's going to depend if they are also surgeons, or just ENT's who prescribe meds. Meds alone will not be effective as the blockage, (if that is a correct diagnosis) must be removed. But see an Ear Nose and Throat doctor and skip the middle-man. A regular MD may not pick up on this. If it's not a blocked duct, you may have a strep infection...but I put my money on the duct.
