What Causes Acid Reflux Disease

Q.Can acid reflux cause pain in between shoulder blades in the back? If acid reflux is severe, can it cause pain in the area of the back between the shoulder blades? Pain that radiates to the shoulders, chest and even causes acid to come up in the throat?? Is this the cause of acid reflux disease?
